This paper proposes a converter design and construction of wind turbines electric generator for increase energy efficiency by tip speed ratio technique. In order to study and compare power and energy efficiency from wind generator, a 1000 W DC motor is used to be prime-over instead of wind generator by determine torque and speed at rated 0-2055 rpm, blade radius 0.8 m and wind velocity at 0-12 m/s to drive DC generator 800 W. The two converters are designed and constructed to control field and armature of DC generator by adjust อัตราสวิตซ์ from 0-100%. The experiment is implemented by vary speed of DC motor which work as wind generator at 4 m/s, 7 m/s, 10 m/s, 12 m/s to drive DC generator with supply power to load at 100% of DC generator rate. The power, energy and tip speed ratio from experimental are recorded. The result found that generator is operated closely to tip speed ratio maximum power point which increase efficiency of wind Turbine.
